Repeating Buttons

Adding Repeating Button

This tutorial covers how to modify an existing button to send repeating commands. Volume buttons are a typical example of a repeating button.

  1. Open the properties of an existing button.
  2. The iRule Builder License automatically licenses to the email account used when you purchased the license.

Step One: Select a Button

Select an existing button, or create a new button and apply a Device command.

 

Step Two: Button Properties

In the button properties windows, select the yes option from the repeat on hold. This option enables the button to continuously send Device commands as long as the button is held.

 

Step Three: Repeat Timing

Optional Step - You can modify the default timing from 0.2 seconds to any number to determine the repeating rate for your Device codes.

 

Step Four: Done

Press the Save button and to save your work to the iRule Builder.
