Adding an Embedded web page

This tutorial covers how to add an embedded web page in the iRule Builder interface. The embedded web page can be from the internet (ex: espn.com, imdb.com) or an internal (ex: web cam).

1. Right click on a Page in the Panels Tree and select Add url from the list.
2. The URL Content object will appear in the interface window.
3. Modify the URL properties
4. optional - Add buttons
5. optional - Add labels
6. optional - Modify Label properties

Step One: Add URL

In the Devices tab, click on the drop down arrow and select browse devices from the list.

Step Two: URL

The URL object will appear in the interface in the default location. You can drag and drop the URL object anywhere in the interface and control the size in the properties window.

Step Three: Properties

Modify the URL properties by increasing the width and height of the URL object. Type the address of the web page that will be displayed. Scale to fit will allow the user to eliminate the ability to scale a page. Some web pages are already formatted for the iPhone and do not benefit from zooming in and out. 

Step Four: Add Buttons

Optional step - You can drag and drop additional buttons to any open cells in the interface.

Step Five: Add Label

Optional step - Right click on the Page and select Add label from the list.

Step Six: Label Properties

Optional step - Label properties have been expanded to include: multiple fonts, user defiend size, option to bold the font, color selection, alignment of text.

Step Seven: Save

To complete the embedded web page, save the Panels. Your Page with an embedded web page is now ready to be synced to the iRule application.
