Transcript

Welcome to the iRule tutorial video. Lesson 2, initial iRule setup. In this lesson, we will add our user credentials and download to the iRule the interface we created in Lesson 1.

Begin by launching the iRule application on the iPhone or iPod touch. Go to the Settings page found at the bottom right corner. Type in your username and password. Your username can be the entire email address that you used to log in to the iRule Builder, or just the part before the @ symbol. Click on the Sync button at the upper right corner to download the interface we created in Lesson 1. The Sync time will depend on the number of images, devices, and complexity of your interface. Also on the settings page you can customize the sounds, vibration, and system locking settings.  The "prevent system lock" setting keeps your ipod or iphone from entering sleep mode while it syncs, which would disconnect you from the wifi.

Go the Panels page found in the lower left corner. You will see the Lesson 1 Panel in the list. Since we have not yet defined our Gateways, the remote will not yet work. Lesson 4 will explain how to define a Global Cache Gateway.
