How iRule Works

Creating your iRule remote is just about as simple as 1,2,3. Here's how the process works:

  Design your remote in iRule Builder

It's hard to believe, but it's actually easier than it sounds! iRule Builder is a web site you use to create and edit your remote control's interface. All you need is a computer with a web browser; there's no software to download or install. Most of the work has been done for you, but the drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to customize your remote control with your own buttons, images or even a unique interface for each user in your home. Since iRule Builder is available from any computer, you can configure a remote from your home, office, or wherever it's most convenient. 

  Setup the iRule app

Download the iRule app to your mobile device from the App Store. Enter your username and password and sync to download your custom user interface from the iRule Builder, then assign your devices and gateways so iRule knows which devices to control and how to connect to them.

  Rule your universe!

That's it! Use iRule to control all your gear, including TVs, surround systems, cable or satellite boxes—even lights, shades, or fireplaces! If it can be controlled, iRule can control it. Since iRule uses your WiFi network, your equipment can be be behind closed doors, in a closet, or in a whole different room.
